Project Terms

These terms apply to every Ideestep quote unless the quote says otherwise. They are written in plain language so you know exactly what to expect. By approving a quote in writing (on WhatsApp or by email) or by making the first payment, you agree to these terms. For package details, see website packages and prices.

01    Prices

Packages and prices

  • Basic Website (HTML, up to 5 pages): ₹10,000, domain and hosting included for the first year, then ₹3,500 a year
  • Business Website (WordPress, up to 5 pages): ₹19,000, plus domain and hosting at ₹3,500 a year or your own hosting
  • Clinic Starter (doctors): from ₹35,000
  • Specialist (doctors): from ₹60,000
  • Basic to Business upgrade: ₹12,000
  • Google Business Profile setup: ₹4,999, or ₹2,999 with any website
  • Google Business Profile monthly care: from ₹2,999 a month, minimum 3 months

All prices are in Indian rupees and are final, with no GST added. A quote is valid for 30 days.

02    Scope

Scope of work

  • Your quote lists the pages, features and services included. Anything not listed is extra and will be quoted before we do it.
  • Requests and approvals are accepted in writing only, on WhatsApp or by email. Phone conversations are confirmed in writing before we act on them.
  • We reply within working hours, Monday to Saturday, 10am to 7pm.
03    You provide

What you provide

  • Answers to our project questionnaire. We write the website content from your answers.
  • Your logo, photographs and any documents we need, within 10 days of the project starting.
  • One person who can approve the design and content on your behalf.
  • You confirm that you have the right to use every text, photo, logo and document you send us.
  • For doctors: confirmation that all medical information on the website is accurate and follows the guidelines that apply to your practice.

Project timelines start from the day we receive your content and photographs.

04    Changes

Changes before launch

  • Basic Website: one round of changes. Business Website and doctor packages: two rounds.
  • A round is one consolidated list of changes, sent within 7 days of receiving the preview. Scattered messages over several days count as separate rounds.
  • If we hear nothing within 7 days of sending the preview, it is treated as approved and the final payment becomes due.
  • Changing the design direction, template or page structure after approval is new work and is quoted separately.
05    Payment

Payment

  • Basic Website: 50% to start, which opens your project questionnaire. The remaining 50% is paid after you approve the preview, before the website goes live.
  • Business Website and doctor packages: 50% to start, 50% before the website goes live.
  • Google Business Profile monthly care: paid monthly in advance.
  • Payments are made by UPI, bank transfer or a secure Razorpay payment link (UPI, cards or netbanking). A receipt is emailed automatically for every Razorpay payment. Work pauses while any payment is overdue.
  • Before the final payment, you review the complete website on a private preview link. It goes live on your domain once the final payment is received, and website files and access are handed over only after full payment.
06    Ownership

Ownership

  • Until the full payment is made, all designs, content and files remain the property of Ideestep.
  • Once you have paid in full, the content and design of your website belong to you.
  • Our templates, code components and tools remain ours. You receive a permanent licence to use them on your website.
07    Domain

Your domain

Your domain is registered in your name once the final payment is made (or earlier, from your first payment, if you ask us to secure the name straight away), with Ideestep managing it for you. It belongs to you, not to us.

08    Renewals

Renewals

  • We send a renewal invoice 30 days before your domain and hosting are due.
  • Renewals are paid before we renew. We do not renew on credit.
  • If a renewal is not paid by the due date, the website may go offline, and the domain can be lost if it expires.
  • A month before your first year ends, we send a short performance report with your options: renew, upgrade, or move on.
09    After launch

After launch

  • 60 days of free fixes for anything that does not work as agreed. This does not cover problems caused by changes made by you or others, by third-party plugin or service updates, or by hosting outside Ideestep.
  • Basic Website: content changes after launch are ₹500 each.
  • WordPress websites hosted with us: you get your own login as an Editor, created with your email so you set your own password. Editors can change text, photos, prices, notices and posts. We keep administrator access because we look after updates, security and backups. You can ask for administrator access at any time; problems caused by plugins or settings changed from that account are billed separately.
  • Larger changes such as new pages or features are quoted separately.
  • Every website includes a short performance report at three months and at one year.

Not included unless quoted

  • Online stores, payment gateways and booking systems
  • Extra pages beyond the package
  • Logo and branding design
  • Photography (quoted separately; shoots outside Kolkata include travel and stay)
  • Pages in regional languages
  • Paid plugins, paid themes, payment gateway charges and video platform subscriptions
  • Ongoing SEO beyond the basic setup
11    Third parties

Google and third-party services

  • Google controls Business Profile verification, search rankings and Maps results. Nobody can honestly guarantee a ranking or a verification date, and we do not.
  • We are not responsible for outages, rule changes or decisions by hosting providers, Google, WhatsApp, payment gateways or other third-party services, though we will help you resolve them.
12    Content

Content and legal responsibility

  • You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the content, offers and claims on your website.
  • We may refuse or remove content that is illegal, misleading, or uses someone else’s work without permission.
13    Security

Security and hosting use

  • Websites on our yearly care are kept updated and backed up.
  • A website hosted with us may be suspended if it is used for illegal content or spam, or if a renewal payment is overdue.
  • Restoring a website after problems caused by changes outside our control is billed separately.
14    Liability

Limit of liability

Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the project concerned. We are not liable for indirect losses such as lost business or profits.

15    Cancellation

Delays, cancellation and ending a project

  • If we do not hear from you for 30 days, the project is paused. After 60 days, it is closed and the work completed so far is billed.
  • If you cancel before work starts, your payment is refunded minus ₹2,000 for planning time.
  • Once work has started, payments already made are not refundable. If the final payment is not made within 15 days of approving the preview, the preview is taken down and the project is closed.
  • We may end a project if communication becomes abusive or threatening, or if these terms are repeatedly not followed. Completed work is billed, and any payment for work not done is refunded.

16    Portfolio

Our portfolio

We may show your website in our portfolio and on social media. Tell us in writing if you would rather we did not.

17    Leaving

Leaving us

You are never locked in. If you decide to move on, we help transfer your domain and hand over your website files or WordPress access. All payments due must be settled first. Paid plugins such as Elementor Pro run on our agency licence, which stays with us when you leave. Your website keeps working, but you will need your own licence to keep receiving updates.

18    Disputes

Disputes

If something goes wrong, tell us in writing and we will try to resolve it directly within 15 days. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and any dispute is subject to the courts in Kolkata.
